Headline

Day 2 content lands extremely well (81.1% rated it 5 stars, 129/159) and comprehension checks are mostly strong, but two recurring confusions — the "past vs. current data" fill-in-blank and "buy zone" setup — show specific teaching gaps worth fixing before Day 3.

What the numbers say

  • Overwhelming approval: 81.1% gave 5 stars, average 4.75/5 (129/159; only 1 response below 3 stars)
  • TPS method retention is strong: Trend 97.5% (155/159), Pattern 96.9% (154/159), Squeeze 94.3% (150/159) correctly identified
  • Daily candle concept is well understood: 91.2% correctly said "1 trading day" (145/159)
  • The technical-analysis fill-in-blank is the weak spot: only 69.2% chose "Past" (110/159); 25.8% chose "Current" (41/159) — a real comprehension gap, not just noise
  • TradingView adoption has room to grow: 39.6% already use it (63/159), 34.6% have not signed up (55/159), 7.5% signed up during this session (12/159), 18.2% use another platform (29/159)
  • Audience skews toward existing paying members: 82.4% are current Profit Surge Trader members (131/159); of those, 49.6% are Annual (65/131), 33.6% Inner Circle (44/131), 16.8% Unlimited (22/131)
  • Perceived value of the service is split but trends positive: 42.4% of members value it at $1,000+ (56/131 combined for $1,000–2,000 and $2,000+ bands... actually: $1,000–2,000 16% + $2,000+ 16% = 32%, 42/131), while 42.8% value it under $500 (56/131 combined for $0–100 and $100–500)

In their own words

Buy zone confusion (recurring theme): "Still fuzzy on buy zone - but will go back to watch yesterday's recording."

Trade-plan / patience payoff: "Make a plan, stick to it, and be patient! This resonated well with me, as this morning I closed a trade with a $10 profit in fear of losing money on yet another option trade, only for it to gain $130 more within the 15 minutes."

Scheduling/accessibility pain point: "I cannot monitor trades all day. Should I not try to trade your recommendations? I'm not doing so great, because I don't always catch your stc posts in time to catch a good profit. Prices usually drop very fast after I see your post."

Delta/Greeks confusion: "Can you go over the deltas and the other Greeks explanation on how they affect our Options selection?"

Long-term member loyalty: "Every moment is an AHA moment since I have been a member."

What to do about it

  • Re-teach the technical-analysis definition explicitly on Day 3 — call out the "past vs. current data" distinction directly, since a quarter of respondents (41/159) got this wrong. This is a foundational term; letting it slide will compound confusion later.
  • Add a short, dedicated segment or downloadable guide on "how to find and confirm the Buy Zone" — this came up unprompted in both the AHA and Nate-question fields, suggesting it's one of the most-confused concepts in the curriculum.
  • Produce a basic "Options Greeks / Delta for beginners" explainer — multiple verbatim questions ask about delta/Greeks specifically in the context of strike selection; this is a clear content gap, not a one-off.
  • Create a TradingView quick-setup guide (EMAs 8/21/55, squeeze indicator) and push it to the 34.6% (55/159) who haven't signed up yet — several respondents explicitly asked how to replicate Nate's chart setup.
  • Address the "can't watch live" segment with a concrete workaround (e.g., alert automation, end-of-day recap, or a lower-frequency trade tier) — this is a recurring complaint tied to lost profits, and a direct product/feature response could reduce churn risk among members who feel they're "doing everything wrong."
  • Mine the $1,000+ value responses (42/131) for testimonial/upsell material when marketing Unlimited or Inner Circle tiers; separately, the $0–500 segment (56/131) may be a good target for a retention or down-sell conversation before renewal.

Caveats

  • Completion rate was 67.1% (159 of 237 started) — roughly a third dropped before finishing; no way to tell from this data whether dropout concentrated on any particular question, but it should be watched in future surveys.
  • The membership-type and value questions were only shown to self-identified members (131 of 159); this is expected branching logic, not a data-quality problem, but readers should not treat 131 as the full sample for those two questions.
  • Free-text fields ("AHA moment," "questions for Nate") contain a high proportion of null-content answers ("No," "N/A," "."), which inflates response counts without adding insight — true thematic signal comes from the substantive minority.
  • All findings are observational/self-reported; no causal claims should be drawn from the value or satisfaction figures.

What was your "AHA!" moment today?

The lesson about scaling in vs averaging in. I have been a member since April and I was doing well until July volatility and I misinterpreted scaling in as averaging in and started doing the latter. Lost a bunch. I wish I had this lesson back in April or May. I don't think it was in the materials available at that time but I could have missed it without the slide.10/12/2026

Understanding how to determine the buy zone. I am not sure I fully understand it and I wish you would have covered it an little more thoroughly. The buy zone should have been included in the TPS checklist as it the final determining factor on when to enter the trade.10/11/2026
Pattern moment, when seeing how the EMAs are used to create a buying zone. (Still a bit confused, as I still don't know what the other lines present are, but they also seem to be part of the analysis for the buy zone.)10/9/2026

Do you have any questions for Nate?

I still struggle with two things: 1. How to determine targets and stops although I think your explanation of the stop you had on day 2 was probably good enough, I need to better understand how to put the fibbonacci extension on the chart and how to use that to determine the upside target. 2. I would like to know how to adjust expectations for upside when the chart is going down or flagging for a while. I've seen Nate put in "scale out" targets but then the next day he sends a "closed" notification which sold the position for *less* than the scale out. I've been very patient about putting in my orders for the scale out (not even trying to sell only part since I am still working full time). And I now know that when the indexes are down, I need to adjust expectations lower; however, it's hard to know how much lower and also it's hard to know if I should just "be patient" as Nate said in Day 2 here or is it time to adjust the expectations and sell for lower than the initial planned scale out. I'm hoping to learn how to think about this10/12/2026
